Miscellaneous Intestinal Nematodes

Trichinella spiralis. Larvae in skeletal muscle (unstained, low power). Female worms produce minute larvae, which migrate via the blood stream to striated muscles, where they undergo considerable growth and development and become encapsulated by host tissue. Larvae may be found in press preparations of skeletal muscle.
