Leishmania donovani

Leishmania species, promastigote stage from culture, Giemsa’s stain. These organisms were recovered from a tube of Novy-MacNeal-Nicolle (NNN) medium which was inoculated with biopsy material from a lesion (cutaneous leishmaniasis, Leishmania tropica).
