Giardia lamblia

Giardia lamblia. Cysts in fecal smear (trichrome stain, oil immersion). Nuclei, axonemes, and median bodies can be seen in these two cysts. One of the cysts shows some retraction of cytoplasm from the cyst wall, a common occurrence in stained smears.
