Enterobius vermicularis

Enterobius vermicularis. Adult worm in appendix (hematoxylin and eosin stain, high power). Adult pinworms frequently are seen in histologic sections of the appendix. They may be identified in tissue sections by the presence of prominent lateral alae on the surface of the cuticle.
