Chilomastix mesnili. Trophozoite in fecal smear (trichrome stain, oil immersion). This trophozoite has a typical pyriform shape with the posterior end of the body drawn out to a point. The cytostome and flagella are not visible; the nucleus contains a small karyosome and has irregular peripheral chromatin. Two Blastocystis are present above and below the organism.
