Simulation forecasting: activating models of known physical, social, and environmental laws and determines how they will most likely impact the future.
Trend forecasting plots mathematically the path discovered events and extends them into the future .
Intuitive forecasting relates to the images or feelings people have about the future.
Delphi forecasting extracting expert opinions about the future and then furnishing the experts with preliminary results .
Scenario forecasting creates a well thought out story or description about how a possible future state of affairs might occur
Force analysis forecasting note and analyze forces (sets of events, pressures, problems, and/or social events) and their probable impact on future events or areas.
In forecasting the future, we need to get away from just looking at events as particles in time. Rather, we need to observer the space between the particles, the relationships extant between the events, happenings, and natural and human reactions .
