Reliability of Difference Between Uncorrelated Means (Nᡖ)
Interpreting our z:
- In the previous example, we look up z in the normal curve table associated with .025 in the smaller portion of the curve.
- This is because we have a two tailed test
- Our error is distributed over both ends of the curve
- We want no more than a total of 5% error
- We find that to be significant our z would have had to have been 1.96 or larger.
