Significance Tests For Difference Between Statistics
Logic of Hypothesis Testing (continued):
- Null Hypothesis (HO) …. The hypothesis that the true difference between our population means is 0. There is no difference.
- Research Hypothesis (H1) … There is a difference. This hypothesis usually comes from our theory or from the results of previous research.
- Failure to reject Null Hypothesis leads us to accept the Research Hypothesis.
