1. During my black belt graduation, I had to do lots of demanstrating, kicks and punch after another. As I went on to do a round house kick to break a board I felt a weird sensation in my right knee. I then could not perform the rest of my demonstration to the crowd, I could not move my leg, I was rushed off to the hospital. After my x-ray, the doctor told me that I have to have surgery for (ACL) Anterior Cruciate Legament. After my intensive surgery I had to go to physical therapy for 6 weeks that required lots of exercising and regaining my strength again. That meant putting my martial arts on hold. When all of the physical therapy was over I slowly regain my sensation back in my knee still trying not to put too much pressure on it, thinking I can have surgery again makes me very unease.
2. Health status is the state in which an individual is in by being in good health but not necessary being free from diseases. As for health, an individual being in well conditons such as mentally, physically, and socially. The way you live your lifestyle like taking the precautions of having a healthy life by eating nutriously and excercising can really make a difference in the future. All of these things can prevent such as strokes or any kinds of diseases that can affect the human body.
3. While volunteering my time at the hospital I found something that caught my eyes. Recreational Therapist is one of the most fascinating and somewhat different from the other therapists. I admire their patience and perserverance towards the patients. They work with patients on having control of their motion such as throwing a ball across the room and doing other excercises to get their range of motion back.
4. YES, every profession should have a standard skill requirement to be able to determine to see if a person qualifies to meet the goals to become a specialist in that field.
