Case Study #1:
I chose #4. I think Dr. Blank needs to realize that different cultures have different
beliefs and rituals and not question them. Probably some things that Dr. Blank might do
would puzzle other cultures as well.

Case Study #2:
I chose #2. Using the proper name for a patient shows respect, especially if they
older than you. Only after the patient encourages me to, or I ask permission to, do I use
their first name.

Case Study #3:
This one was tougher, but I chose #3. I think the other three choices are big
assumptions.

Personal Reflection:
When working with a patient of a different culture, if I run into something I don't
understand, I ask them if they would explain it. I find their explanations interesting. If
they appear offended, I apologize and tell them I was only trying to understand and not to
be offended.
