: : Using the four prototypes of patient/health care provider relationships, describe some real life examples of each. These examples can come from your own work experience or if you or someone in your family was a patient. What type of relationship did you or your family member have with the health care provider?

: I think this far my family has had a Paternal relationship with our health care providers as far as control is concerned. Although we try to research what my advice fathers physician has to offer, my dad is a very loyal patient and thinks very highly of his cardiologist. He is the only one who can comfort my father when he is scared and my father has a lot o respect for hm.
I think having faith in your provider is a key issue. However, sometimes it is necessary for the consumer to relize that the provider is only human and may not have all of the answers.
