1. I found two sets of "Ethic Codes" for the Nursing Profession. The first is a generic type and the American Nursing Association puts out the second. Both sets provide for the safety, respect and well being of the client. These codes are a set of ideals that every nursing professional should live by. They do not really describe what health is and what it is not but are more along the lines of promoting the community health needs of the public. They state that nurses assume the responsibility and accountability for his/her nursing judgements and actions. Also stated is that the nurse is to collaborate with other health professionals to meet the health care needs of our patients.

2. I have found that the Hippocratic oath has changed over the years in a few areas. First they have removed the swearing to the "gods" and "goddesses"; and second, the school of thought on various different issues has changed. Abortion is just one example of this.
