1. Although my interests always seem to keep me in the medical field, ( med lab. tech., cath lab, er paramedic) I still am not sure exactly what I want to be when I grow up. I will probably stay in the health field, more administrative type services , maybe dept mngr or health information management.???????
I have had no career counseling.
2. I can see myself in this field in 10-15 yrs but not with direct patient care like now. But then again who knows?
3. I do agree with the 1995 survey. The reasons for job satisfaction in my dept. are probably due to the great bunch of people I work with and the high pt. satisfaction ratings. The dissatisfaction comes from short staffing, lesser pay than we were used to up north, and longer hours.
