1. My relocation to Southwest Florida greatly influenced my decision to be a nurse. When I got here I realized that the majority of the jobs in Charlotte County were in health care so I had to change my major. I had no career counseling.
2. I still see myself practicing in ten years from today, maybe even 15. By 20 years I hope to have accumulated enough to retire.
3. This is a harder question for me to answer since I am not yet employed in the healthcare field – or any field. Before I got married and became a mom, reasons for dissatisfaction were poor morale, bad hours, low pay, and no room for advancement. The main reasons for satisfaction were that the employees loved what they did, some were well paid, and benefits.
