1. The greatest advance in the last ten years in my opinion is the invention of the laser for surgery. We use in the or to remove kidney stones, correct cataracts, remove brain tumors, and many
other uses.

2. Acc. to the article, Healthcare Technology, the FDA approve 4000-5000 products a year that are nearly identical to one another. The question is should the federal government or FDA place restrictions
on duplication of services? I believe they should restrict duplication of technology. However, the restrictions should not be so harsh that no new equipment or technology is invented for fear of being
not being given the authority to use the product or technology. If the FDA can show that the technology or device is an exact duplicate, then it should not be allowed.

3. Absolutely, I would pay more for the health care and the latest technology. If I have an illness, I want the best equipment here locally without having to travel 3 hours to get the technology. Also, I
familiar with the local medical community and whom to see for any illness or injury that I may have. Also, If I were to go away for the cheaper care, am I really getting the best care for the money that I am
spending.
