1. I think one of the greatest advances in health care tech. that is only about 6 years old is the fiber optic type coils placed inside a cerebral aneurysm by a catheter and wire fed through the femoral artery. Before this, the unclippable anuerysms were left or wrapped in muscle for support. This procedure was done on my mother 1 yr ago at Shands in Gainesville and saved her life after unsuccessfully trying to clip a large thin aneurysm in her L carotid.
2. Perhaps there should be some sort of restrictions on the amount of duplication, but duplication makes the companies more competetive for quality and consumer pricing.
3. I prefer to have the best and most convenient at my finger tips at all cost.
