Hi jon, the breakdown seems to be l. time for the nurses to do this task. 2. the current single chg for each item is time consuming and a little hard on the memory when you have to go back and put in chg hrs. after the pt. has left because you were too busy to do it earlier. I think the bulk charge is the way to go.
:
: : Maybe have an outside consulting firm come in and create a bulk charge system where avery little thing doesn't have to be marked. ex: suture chg. to include the service chg and all the required materials to suture a laceration and dress it.
: : : Now that we have a goal, what process needs to be implemented to acheive that goal, and what tools are needed?
: That is a possilbity. I would agree. Still, I think we need to understand where the breakdown is happening.
