1. The main problem facing my radiology department is lack of space for patients' film jackets. Within the past year, we have had to shut down a regular radiographic room to help alleviate the problem.
By shutting down this regular room, this puts more burden on the technologists since there is one less room to perform exams, which leads to additional waiting for the patient.

2. TQM can address this problem in one of three ways:

a). Is the space that we now have being utilized in the best manner?

b). The present management needs to involve the employees for their ideas as to how to solve the problem.
as of now, the clerical supervisor thinks she knows how to solve the problem, but she is in actuality making a bad situation even worse.

c).I believe that the combined efforts of everyone within the department can solve this problem if we are given an oppurtunity to do so.

d).Also, management can install a " good will" environment which means that they will listen to all ideas on how to solve this contiuing problem.
They believe that only they can solve the problem, without any imput from the employees who must deal with it every day.
