: : : : Should the cost for mandated continuing education be who's responsibility the employer or the health care professional?
: : : Mandated CEU's if required for a particular job should be paid be the employer ie ACLS
: : I disagree Peggy. It's a requirement to maintain my job. I seem to be outnumber and I understand the rational, but what is being said that if the employer doesn't come through then it is the fault of the employer that I didn't maintain my license and my job and that is incorrect. It is my responsibility. Now, I wouldn't turn down help from the employer, but again that isn't their responsibility.
: Johnathan, I don't think the employer should pay for all of the required CEU's only one's to work in specific areas like ACLS, PALS etc. I do believe it is the employees responsiblity
: to further thier own knowledge base and maintain their license
I whole heartedly agree with that.
