1. It would be nice if the employers were able to pay for the cost of continuing education like they used to, but with all of the changes in health care, it's not possible. Who wouldn't like their CEU's paid for, But I have no choice but to take the responsibility myself, otherwise I would loose my license.
2. I would love to attend workshops and seminars at nice resorts, in or out of state. But, due to many factors, this is no longer possible. Instead I go to short programs (1-2 hours), in the evening with an occasional all-day Saturday seminar held locally to build up CEU's.
3. I think continuing education needs to be mandatory. I doubt if too many would attend meetings otherwise due to cost, travel, time constraints, and the current dissatisfaction of many health care professionals due to all of the changes in health care.
