Problem: In a particular home health agency, certain nurses are not performing adequate wound care and their patient’s ulcers are not healing properly. Other nurses have much more experience with wound care and their pts. have a much high and faster healing rate. These nurses can easily detect an underlying infection when it is still in the early stages. The more experienced RN’s are getting very frustrated when they have to work on the same client as the inexperienced nurses. One pt. may see two, sometimes three different nurses in one week.
