: : : Well, I think that we are all in agreement that the changes are here and they are stressful. I would like to now focus on the interdisciplinary health care teams. Do you belong to one? If not, have you seen one in action and what is your opinion of these teams?

:
: : No, I am not currently in an interdisciplinary team. I haven't see one in action either, but I do know that it is great to see practitioners have a wide range of experiences in different fields, can be rewarding but then again maybe not, I would prefer someone who specialized in one particular thing so I know that they are an expert in it and make me feel at ease..

: I agree with you, when I am the patient, I want the best. Yet I function in a department that in multidisciplinary. Kind of seems like I have double standards, doesn't it.

Not at all, Marilyn. I believe that a interdisplinary team has the experts in their particular fields. Not everyone can be the expert. Still, this purpose of the team is not so we can do someone elses job but to provide the best care to the patient by using the experts in the the team.
