: : : : : : I had a chance to review the responses prior to class and it seemed to me that many of you feel that health care is going through a major change and this is a very serious challenge. My question is do you think it is necessary for this change and your reasoning for your answer.

: : :
: : : : : It really isn't a necessary but since over the centuries we are improving on new technologies, treatments, health plans and so on. Yes we can live like the olden days but with these major changes it will better society as a whole and these changes will continue on forever.

: : :
: : : : If it isn't necessary, Linda. Do you think that without the change in healthcare, we would still function without serious problems?

: : : Are we talking about changes in healthcare laws or changes in technology and medicine?

: : Good question, Roni. I am talking about the changes in how we deliver healthcare in this country. With the changes in reimbursement, the days of top notch care seems to many to no longer be the case. My question is that true?

: I think sometimes we do enough to "just get by" and thet can make me uncomfortable. I'm waiting for a critical mistake in my practice.
It is a worry of mine as well. I feel that sometimes we give more credence to the dollar than to humans.
