: : I had a chance to review the responses prior to class and it seemed to me that many of you feel that health care is going through a major change and this is a very serious challenge. My question is do you think it is necessary for this change and your reasoning for your answer.

: Yes, I think there has to be change although I don't always like it. Many reasons: gov't regulations have to be met if you want to be reimbursed for services; unfortunately there has to be control some way over the "freeloaders" of the insurance systems which makes it hard on the honest people; for the more unfortunate, there has to be some way for them to get medical care ie Medicaid or the expense will be greater in the long run if medical conditions are gone unattended, and the dollar just doesn't go as far as it used to with the increased technology's. Everything is more expensive. Also, a biggee. I have to accept a lot of these changes or I won't have a job!

Then what you are suggesting Marilyn is that you and I are not in control of the changes and either we join the bandwagon or get swept to the side. I can understand that. But, is the bandwagon going in the right direction? How do you feel about that?
