Ask your cultural friend to name the relationships on the chart in their native language

Print out the kinship chart above and the questions below. Use the questions below to fill in the titles (mother, wace, mater, etc.) given that relative. Ask your cultural friend to name the relationships on the chart in their native language. Assume that your friend is EGO. Begin from that place. If they do not actually have a person in that kinship position, ask what they would call that person if they did. Remember you are NOT looking for proper names.

Ask the questions like this:
