Read the problem presented below and state what you would do at each decision-making point on the flowchart. Assume that your group is the school's site council that is providing the leadership for the school along with the school principal. You may not have all of the information you need to determine your decisions unless you specify under what assumptions you are making your decisions. If so, please state your assumptions. For example, you might be faced with a problem related to teacher contracts, and your assumption is that you must involve the central office in this decision as it is in their domain.
 
 

Problem Statement:

A Site Council member representing a group of teachers recommends that homeroom be eliminated, that 1st period be extended, and that 1st period teachers assume homeroom responsibilities. The teacher explains that paperwork would decease, that learning time would increase, and that there would be less disruption and movement during the day. Another teacher representative on the Site Council says that he does not see a problem with the current arrangement.
